Biography
Camilla Wellton is a Stockholm-based designer, author and multidisciplinary creator. Her work has moved between couture-informed fashion, pattern construction, digital experiences, publishing and creative methodologies. She founded her fashion label in the early 2000s and developed an approach to making that combines close attention to materials, bodies, structure and feeling.
Philosophy & approach
Rather than treating the physical, intellectual and emotional as separate design problems, Wellton is interested in the conditions that allow them to meet. Her approach brings precision and play into the same practice: an engineered pattern can create freedom of movement; a book can become a structured space for attention; a digital tool can support a human experience instead of directing it.
Selected work & current practice
Her professional work includes independent fashion collections, pattern cutting, commercial and film-related styling, the creative universe I AWAKE, and the WordPress design studio I Love My Website. Earlier collections explored sculptural silhouettes and sustainability; later work extends the same sensitivity into research-informed journeys, books, audio and interactive practice. Her public fashion portfolio documents collection design, pattern making and styling for productions.
