Andrea Davis-Kronlund
Photographer · Visual Artist · Cultural Producer
An image can carry a fashion story, an archive or a question about who gets to be seen.

Biography
Andrea Davis-Kronlund is a Jamaica-born photographer and visual artist working between Stockholm and New York. Her practice moves across commercial fashion and beauty photography, creative direction and artistic investigation. She is founder and creative director of Krull Magazine, a publication centring Black creative and cultural expression.
Philosophy & approach
Her artistic practice looks closely at the meeting place of the personal, cultural and political, including in work focused on Black women’s hair. Photography becomes a means to examine how identity, beauty, histories and public representation are made visible and interpreted.
Selected work & current practice
Davis-Kronlund’s photographic portfolio ranges across fashion editorials, portraiture and visual storytelling. She has worked in the wider cultural sector, including curatorial and exhibition production roles; Southnord identifies her as a curatorial and strategic adviser and an exhibitions producer with the National Museums of World Culture in Sweden. Her work with Krull Magazine connects photography to the cultures and communities around it.
