Your space. Your Google account. Your meetings.
Institute Forum Meetings is the Google Calendar and Google Meet integration for the Swedish Institute of Inner Technology Forum, operated by Swedish Institute of Inner Technology AB. It lets authorized space organizers schedule a meeting in their own primary Google Calendar and share its Meet link inside the relevant forum space.
A personal connection, not a shared host account
Each organizer chooses and authorizes their own Google account. The forum displays that account’s email before a meeting is created. An organizer without a usable personal connection is asked to connect or reconnect; the integration does not substitute another organizer’s account or a site-wide Google account.
Who can schedule
The forum is invitation-only. Scheduling is available to active space owners and moderators, and to site administrators. Connecting Google does not create a forum membership, grant an organizer role, or make a private space public. Other members can use a shared meeting link without granting this integration access to their Google Calendar.
How it works
Sign in to the forum and open your space’s Meetings section. Choose Connect my Google account, select your account on Google’s own page, and review the requested permissions. When you return, check the displayed email. Open Schedule a meeting, enter the title, start and end times, and time zone, then choose Create Google Meet.
The resulting meeting title, time and joining link appear in that space. The optional Email current space members checkbox sends those details using the forum’s email service, not your Gmail mailbox. The integration does not read your contacts or add the space’s membership list as Google Calendar guests.
What Google access is used for
Google identity and email access identify the account you connected. Calendar-event access creates the event and retrieves that event’s Meet link. The current Calendar permission is broader than just newly created forum events; the integration uses it for these meeting operations, not to browse unrelated calendar events. It does not request Gmail, Google Contacts or Google Drive access, and it does not collect your Google password.
You can change or disconnect your account from the Meetings section. Disconnecting stops future use of that saved connection; it does not cancel meetings already created in Google Calendar or erase copies of a link already shared. Read the privacy notice before connecting.
