Frances Lucas
Strategist · Social Innovation · Collaboration
Connecting the question behind a project with the people and decisions that can move it forward.

Biography
Frances Lucas is a Stockholm-based strategist working across social innovation, sustainable development, culture and people’s everyday lives. Her practice moves between analysis, idea development, multi-party collaboration and leadership, particularly when a social question needs a clearer direction and a structure through which people can act.
Philosophy & approach
Her public writing makes an important distinction between beginning with a predetermined format and finding the question that actually matters. A museum exhibition, a meeting place or a programme is not an end in itself. The work starts with whose experiences count, what needs to change and which forms of collaboration might make that change possible.
Selected work & current practice
Lucas founded Miljöverkstan Flaten, creating settings in which young people explore sustainability through direct experience. Her portfolio includes Pengar at Arbetets museum and Smal, projects engaging younger participants in research and public cultural expression. She brings an independent perspective to public-sector and civil-society assignments where long-term purpose must meet practical decisions.
